ROSA PARKS

 

        She was the first woman to protest against white people, when she decided to keep her sit. Throughout*  this event she defended her rights and those of all the black people.  She was courageous, determined and strong.

         She a kind of a model for us, she contributed to making mentalities changed and the society too. Also, she is  courageous woman and she still an example especially for all women because she is a woman.

         One day on the 1st December 1955, she was going to work by bus, and she refused to let her sit to a white person, she said "I am tired of being treated like a second-class citizen"*.The bus driver called the police and she was arrested. Immediately, her friends and other black citizens protested against this injustice. Moreover, Martin Luther King asked to black people not to take the bus, it was the "bus boycott" during 381 days. Thanks to this event segregation on buses was abolished, it was small victory but it changed the USA forever.

          She is Rosa Parks, she was born on the 4th February 1913 in Alabama and died the 24 october 2005.  She lived in Montgomery in the southern state of Alabama (the south was the most part of USA were segregation and slaves existed). She worked as a seamstress*. Moreover she became a member of the American Civil Rights Movement in 194 à The American Civil Rights Movement : it's means the fight of black to defended their rights, especially the rights to vote. It's a non violent movement, where peaceful and respect dominated.

A hero can be a person who has accomplished extraordinary actions or things. He or she can be a model or an example, he or she can have superpowers. He or she can be a person ready to risk his/her life for the others.
Wonder Woman is fictional superheroine. She is a warrior princess of Amazons. Her name is Diana Prince.
How has Wonder Woman permitted women to identify to a new icon?
 
1)    WHO IS SHE?

A)   Fictional Origins:
 She is an Amazon who was created in 1200 B.C when the Greek goddesses drew forth the souls of women who had been murdered by men. She spoke Themyscririan (combination of Greek and Turkish)
B)   Her powers:
She is an attractive female. She is rich, empathic and intellectual. She is telepath. She is immortal. She has got the Lasso of Truth. She has got the Sandals of Hermes. She is god and eternal. She has the Powers of Agility. She is endowed with many powers such as: Divine Powers. She can flight, healing, hypnosis. She is invulnerability. She has marksmanship, super hearing, super speed, super strength.. She tracks. She is weapon master and she is expert in unarmed combat and swordsmanship.

She travelled to men's world for a mission of diplomacy and peace, she is an ambassador. She is part of Justice Society of America. She wants to arrest criminals and reform them.

 She was born in december 1941, in an American comic strip whose author is
 William Moulton Marston, a psychologist. 
The comic is DC Comics from New York. The cultural impact of the character, once sarcasm
 by psychologists and anti-comic book supporters as an anti-male lesbian, has steadily increased 
over the years, having served as an iconic exemplar of the feminist movement and a continuing 
symbol of female empowerment. Wonder Woman is the daughter of feminist movement, whose
 is creator William Moulton,who was influenced by the free-love, the adultery, the sex,
the suffragettes and the activists of the contraception.


  As such, she appears in numerous media, from cereal box covers and popular magazines to being referenced both directly and indirectly in film, animation and television programming. As a cultural icon, she is the subject of several homages and parodies in many forms of media.

She arrived in Paris in 1891 to continue her studies at the Sorbonne where she obtained Licentiateships in Physics and the mathematical sciences, she was the best in her class. She met Pierre Curie, a professor in the School of Physics, in 1894 and in the following year they were married and became Marie Curie.

She is admired because she was a determined young girl. Although she had a difficult childhood, Marie was ambitious and passionate to work hard to be successful. Although she was criticized by the man who dominais the socity of the time she continued to fight.

She spent most of her life studying and as a result she received many honorary awards. She obtained two Nobel prizes one for Mathematics and the other for Physics.

Marie curie is a symbol of women She had created the curietherapie, She and her husband had discover uranium and plutonium who is radioactive element.

She is the first female teacher and the first physical doctor in France. She fought for the position of women in the French academy. She mobilize to help her country of adoption France. She created a movable car had X-ray equipment. This post served many hospitals.

Marie curie is a heroine, because she overcame difficulties during her childhood to study the sciences. Her scientific curiosities pushed her to fulfill her dream  Marie Curie was a brave heroine because she worked in an area that had been considered masculine.

Name to many colleges, and universities, and is honorary citizen of several cities. It also gives her name to some of them, as well as a museum and a gallery in Paris.

Marie is a model for all women who could eventually be interested in the world of science, or the teaching. She is admired because she was a determined young girl.
